**Canalside Mechanical Ltd. (operating as PLUMR) - Plumbing Services Policy**

### 1. Introduction

 

This document outlines the official policies, terms, and conditions governing plumbing services provided by Canalside Mechanical Ltd. (operating as PLUMR). By engaging our services, the client agrees to abide by these policies, which are legally binding under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

### 2. Scope of Services

 

We provide a full range of plumbing services, including but not limited to:  

• Installations, repairs, and maintenance  

• Drain cleaning and leak detection  

• Pipe replacement and water heater services  

• Emergency plumbing services  

 

The scope of work will be defined in writing before any job begins. Any additional services requested beyond the agreed scope will be subject to additional charges.

### 3. Pricing, Payment, and Invoicing

 

#### 3.1 Payment Terms  

• Payment is due immediately upon completion of the plumbing services.  

• Accepted payment methods: Cash, credit card, or debit card.  

• **Credit cards may be securely held on file and will only be accessed by authorized administration staff for the sole purpose of processing payments for approved or completed work.**  

• **All credit card processing fees will be the responsibility of the purchaser and added to the final invoice total.**  

• Failure to make full payment upon completion grants Canalside Mechanical Ltd. the right to remove any materials or equipment installed until full payment is received.  

 

#### 3.2 Service Fee  

• A **$99 service fee** applies to all visits, **except for drain cleaning services**.  

• This fee covers the **cost of travel, diagnostics, and assessment** by our plumber and is non-refundable.

 

#### 3.3 Pricing Structure  

 

**Standard Hourly Rates:**  

• **Residential Services:** $140 per hour  

• **Commercial Services:** $150 per hour  

 

**Drain Cleaning:**  

• $175 for the **first hour**  

• $150 for **each additional hour**

 

**Emergency Hourly Rate:**  

• $300 for the first hour  

• Billed in increments of 30 minutes, rounded up  

 

**Hazard Fee:**  

• A **$75 hazard fee** will apply if chemical drain cleaners or other hazardous substances have been used by the client prior to our arrival, due to the additional safety precautions required.

 

**Fixed-Price Services:**  

• The fixed price includes labour and standard materials.  

• Specialized materials or additional work outside the original quote will incur extra charges.

 

#### 3.4 Late Payments  

• Invoices not paid immediately may be subject to late fees and interest charges as determined by Canalside Mechanical Ltd.

### 4. Warranty Policy

 

• Labour Warranty: 365 days on workmanship.  

• Materials Warranty: Covered by the manufacturer’s terms.  

 

Any defects in labour within the warranty period will be promptly addressed at no additional cost.

### 5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

 

• Clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.  

• Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.

### 6. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Work

 

Canalside Mechanical Ltd. reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, or not complete work if:  

• The client is rude, berating, or behaves in a way that poses potential harm to employees.  

• The work environment is unsafe, or an employee determines that proceeding would not be the safest course of action.  

• Unforeseen hazardous conditions arise that were not disclosed or anticipated.  

 

No refunds will be issued for any partial work already completed if the service is discontinued due to these reasons.

### 7. Access to Premises & Site Conditions

 

• The client must ensure safe and unobstructed access to the work area during the agreed service time.  

• If hazardous or unforeseen conditions arise, additional charges may apply.

### 8. Code Compliance

 

• All work will be performed in compliance with Ontario plumbing codes and regulations.  

• Any modifications required to bring a property up to code will be communicated to the client.

### 9. Liability & Insurance

 

• Canalside Mechanical Ltd. is not liable for damages resulting from pre-existing conditions or unforeseen circumstances.  

• We carry liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance for all plumbing work performed.  

• Clients are responsible for ensuring that their own property insurance covers potential damages.

### 10. Indemnification

 

The client agrees to indemnify and hold Canalside Mechanical Ltd. harmless against any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from the services provided.

### 11. Confidentiality

 

All client information will be kept confidential and used only for the purpose of providing plumbing services.

### 12. Dispute Resolution

 

• Any disputes will first be resolved through mediation or arbitration as per the Arbitration Act, 1991 (Ontario).  

• If arbitration fails, legal action must be filed within the Province of Ontario.

### 13. Force Majeure

 

Canalside Mechanical Ltd. is not liable for service delays due to circumstances beyond our control, such as:  

• Natural disasters  

• Severe weather  

• Supply chain disruptions  

• Emergencies affecting personnel or equipment

### 14. Amendments to Policy

 

Canalside Mechanical Ltd. reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated in writing.

### 15. Governing Law

 

This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada.

### 16. Client Acknowledgment

 

By engaging Canalside Mechanical Ltd., the client acknowledges and agrees to all terms and conditions outlined in this document.
